" Save 20 Percent on Upholstery Cleaning When You Get Carpet Cleaning."
We are trained to clean even the most delicate fabrics safely and thoroughly Before cleaning your upholstery, we will test it to determine the type of material being cleaned and we check to make sure the dyes are stable and won’t run or bleed.

  1. The first step in cleaning any textile is a thorough pre-vacuum.
  2. The upholstery is pre-treated or pre-shampooed with the appropriate cleaner to safely loosen dirt and stains from the fabric.
  3. The fabric is then gently agitated with a soft brush.
  4. We then steam extract the upholstery with a special low moisture cleaning tool. We are even able to safely clean the edges, flaps, skirts, and covers with this tool.
  5. The fabric is then protected with a fine fabric protector upon your request
  6. The fabric is then groomed with a professional groomer to work the protector into the fabric.
  7. The last step is to place special fans around the furniture to speed dry the fabric.

Upholstery is not carpet.  Profoundly simple statement but it implies differences in how it is cleaned.  Upholstery does not require a "deep" cleaning.  The material is usually thin so that cleaning solutions are designed not to penetrate the fabric as much as solutions designed for carpet. Typically the material needs to be treated more gently than carpet.  Not all fabrics can be wet cleaned.  A professional needs to be able to determine the correct method; whether it can be cleaned wet or if it requires a low moisture method.

The fabric will attract dust just as much as carpet.  So a thorough vacuuming is required before getting the fabric wet.

Cleaning furniture is not as simple as cleaning carpet. There are special techniques and concerns that the technician needs to be aware of.  There is a lot more surface area, with crevices, corners, edges, skirts, flounces, and separate cushions.  It can take as much time to clean a sofa properly as it does 2 rooms.

Read the Complete Consumer's Guide to Carpet Cleaning regarding carpet cleaning.  Much is the same for furniture, just modified.

Price - You will find that some companies will offer to clean a sofa and loveseat for 49 dollars while others may charge as much as 150 to clean a sofa.  What makes the difference?  The difference lies in the quality of the work.  If all you are looking for is a quick cleaning on an inexpensive sofa, then the 49 dollar cleaning may be adequate for you, but if you have furniture that you intend on keeping and you want to know that it is thoroughly and properly cleaned, then don’t choose just any cleaner.  You get what you pay for.

Some of the factors involved will be:

1. The type of fabric
2. The amount of soiling
3. The size of the sofa

Furniture Protectant:  Once your furniture is clean, just like carpets, you should really consider applying a protector to the fabric.  It is designed to repel soil, water, and oil. Regular cleaning and protecting will ensure you will get the maximum lifespan out of your sofa and the maximum out of your investment.
