Cleaning Process |
| |
|
| |
- Step One: The most important step is preparation. We will mask off any areas that may be damaged during the cleaning process to protect them
- Step Two: We apply an alkaline cleaning agent to the tile floor which loosens and emulsifies heavy soil build up, grease, and stains on the tile and in the grout lines.
- Step Three: The cleaning solution is then agitated by hand with special brushes or with a rotary floor machine to work the solution in and break up the soiling.
- Step Four: The tile is cleaned and rinsed with a rotary pressure cleaning tool with 200 plus degree water under high pressure. The soil and water are vacuumed out to our truck leaving your floors dry in about 30 minutes.
- Step Five: After the tile has been cleaned and allowed to dry, a sealer will be applied to the grout lines. On natural stone and other porous surfaces the sealer will be applied to the entire surface.
- Step Six: The last step is to buff the tile to remove any excess sealer.

|
| |
Special Cleaning Circumstances: If the tile has a finish, wax, or dirt trapped underneath an improperly applied sealer, the tile will need to be stripped before it can be cleaned. This will add an additional step to the process. |
| |
|
| |
Restorative Cleaning: If after cleaning the tile there is still some staining in the grout, we can apply a special low ph cleaning solution to lightly etch the grout lines. This process removes a thin layer of the grout to expose clean grout underneath. This process is beneficial if the grout has not been sealed and a lot of stains exist in the tile. |
| |
|
| |
Color Sealing: If after cleaning, the tile still has some staining or dark areas or you just do not like the color of the grout, we can apply a special color sealant completely restoring your tile. |

Technology Benefits: |
| |
We utilize a cleaning system with two high pressure pumps that can attain working pressures up to 3000 psi. If we need to clean a delicate surface such as Saltillo or Mexican Tile, we can turn the pressure down. However if we are cleaning a dirty greasy kitchen or a concrete garage or workshop, we can turn the pressure up to more effectively clean and restore your hard surface. |

|
| |
How Long Does The Process Take? |
| |
Most tile jobs take about 3 hours to complete. Larger jobs may require more time. Your floors will be ready to walk on after the sealer has been applied in about 4 hours. The sealer takes 24 hours to fully cure. |

How Much Will It Cost? |
| |
|
| |
We will need to come to your home or business and give you an estimate. We base our price on how many square feet of tile you have cleaned. Some factors that affect tile cleaning prices are the amount of furniture that needs to be moved, the condition of the tile, the size and shape of the tile, whether there is a finish that needs to be stripped off, and the total square footage cleaned. |

Natural Stone and Tile Floor Tips |
| |
|
| |
- The best way to maintain your floors is to vacuum them with a canister vacuum or vacuum without a beater bar.
- If you need to mop your floors, use a neutral ph cleaner, which we can provide for you. Never use bleach, ammonia, or oxy clean to clean your floors.
- Before you mop, you can use a special grout brush to agitate the grout lines which we can provide for you. To remove the dirt either mop or use a wet vacuum to pick up the dirty solution.
- Never use acidic cleaners like vinegar to clean your floors or counters as they can etch them. Acid type cleaners should be used by experienced professionals only.
